 For airports

You have two choices. You can fly to Reus(Salou) airport with Ryan-air or Airtours followed by a 45-minute drive south to the villas. Alternatively use Barcelona International Airport with Easyjet, followed by a 1 hour 15 minute drive south to the villas.

DIRECTIONS FROM REUS(SALOU) AIRPORT

GENERAL: Reus Airport lies between Reus and Tarragona. You will be driving along the AP7 (motorway), towards Valencia, and exiting at Junction 39 (L’Ametlla de Mar). The journey to the villas is approximately 65 kilometres, (approximately 40 minutes).

DETAILED: There is only one road out of the airport, after 500 metres at the road junction turn right towards Reus.

After another 500 metres you will reach a large roundabout, go all the way round until you come to an exit signposted ‘Tarragona’, take this exit and after 2 kilometres follow the signs for AP7 (Motorway), ‘Barcelona/Valencia’ At the Tolls the road splits, follow the signs for the AP7 motorway signposted ‘Valencia’.

You the carry on the AP7 towards Valencia and exit at Junction 39 L’Ametlla de Mar. As you leave the tolls drive 50 metres to a road junction, and turn left signposted ‘Tarragona and Valencia’, after about 500 metres take the turning on the left signposted ‘Tarragona N340’. Join the N340 and after approximately 1.5 kilometres you will go under a bridge and immediately turn right, signposted ‘Les Tres Cales’. Turn immediate right, and then right again and go across the bridge over N340, follow the road around past the shops (bars, restaurants, supermarket and bakery etc)., and then at the road junction turn left onto Avenida Les Tres Cales.

Take out the map of Les Tres Cales that you have printed off our website and you will see that the villas are at the top right hand of the urbanisation, (north east corner). Carry on up Avenida Les Tres Cales until you are nearly at the top end, then turn right onto Calle Botanico Senen, carry on this road (taking care at each road junction), until you come to the last but one road on the left, this is Calle Mistral where Villa Elisa and Villa Maria are. For Villa Crista, carry on to the last turning on the left, turn left onto Calle Cambrils, Villa Crista is at the end of the road.

DIRECTIONS FROM BARCELONA AIRPORT

There is only one exit from Barcelona Airport , you will be on a dual carriageway, and you will be leaving this dual carriageway after only about 5 minutes, at the second junction signposted ‘Castelldefels’.

Be careful as the slip road tightens into a sharp circle to the right as it joins the dual carriageway heading south. NOW YOU CAN RELAX this road will lead you onto the C32 which in turn will merge with the AP7 motorway. You carry on the AP7 motorway until you reach Junction 39 (L’Ametlla de Mar). Leave the motorway at this junction , as you exit the Tolls, drive about 50 metres to a road junction, and turn left, signposted ‘Tarragona and Valencia’, after about 500 metres, take the turning on the left, signposted, ‘Tarragona N340’ Join the N340 and after about 1.5 kilometres you will go under a bridge, and then immediately turn right, signposted ‘Les Tres Cales’.

 Transport Alternatives
There is a good coastal train service with regular departures to Barcelona / Port Aventura (The Universal Studios Theme Park/Water Park). For Reus Airport you have to change at Tarragona. The train Barcelona Airport changes at 'Barcelona Sants' for the coastal line to the villas.

Driving Tips: Firstly road signs can be placed Second, be careful when exiting from Toll Areas on the motorway - sometimes the motorway forks directly after a Toll Area. If your not making yourself aware of the overhead signs you can be taken off in the wrong direction before you know it – very frustrating!

Stoping at the first opportunity for a road map of Catalonia if you do not set of with one in the car as you leave the airport can often save you alot of time

The Mistral Villa Group occupies the top right hand corner plot of the urbanisation.

(The postal address of each villa is derived from the roads running up and down the Urbanization, rather than across).

Note. Urbanizations are laid out in a grid and are therefore getting anywhere inside means negociating many cross roads junctions. PLEASE USE CAUTION AT THESE JUNCTIONS. In urban areas road markings and priority signs can be a hit and miss feature. Please bear in mind the situation you are driving in. Just like yourself holiday making drivers are arriving into Les Tres Cales from all over Europe each day. Interpretation of priority at junctions will inevitably be at odds in this kind of situation. My advice is to always be cautious, STOP or SLOW TO A CRAWL at every cross road junction you come to without exception in any urbanisation you may find yourself in. I have seen may vehicles travelling at speeds of 50 kmh or more inside urbanisations! So be aware and tackle junctions defensively. The only exception to which being if you are on the main road leading directly to and from the urbanisation main entrance, no one will expect you to give way to traffic joining the main drag, so if you decide to do so make sure there is no one following close behind you. Update - In 2008 road markings and priority signs started appearing on some but not all the junctions in the Les Tres Cales urbanisation.

Information on the Urbanization Las Tres Cales
Supermarket and Public Telephone (Located at the National Road Junction of the Urbanisation) (There is a Supermarket and Bakers and Cafes - 2 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk). When using public phones, it is better value using the green colour phone box. Picking up a 5 euro phone card when at the supermarket can be very handy in case you find yourself for example needing a taxi or need to speak to someone back at the villas on their mobile phone. in a poor mobile recption area as many of the phone boxes in Spain accept phone cards only. By the way, the mobile phone signal strength at the villas is good.

How to get to the Local Village of L’Ametlla De Mar (3km)
There are several more small supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, lots of restaurants and cafes. At the N340 junction, turn right, follow sign to Valencia, shortly you will a sign on the right for L'Ametlla town.
